Thanks for the quick fix on the Timeline issue #1.
Here's another "quirk" I noticed: Yes, no script at all in the timeline preview. There is just no context to run the timeline in. No idea how that would work.

Ok rex and gene, both those bugs are now fixed. Update the software. Thanks Gordon. The bug is fixed! If this software has an option to publish as SCORM package then this would also be a great software for Courseware Development. Cheers, rex Yep, SCORM, we know.

Guess I bought my licensekey a little too soon. Less than a month ago and already have to invest again What I meant with "default" is more the overall placement of some menu items. Most Windows programs have New, Open, Recent, Save, Save as, Import, Export, Preferences, Quit in the File menu list. Some options in the other menus would be easier to find if they were in alphabetical order. I can understand you want to group for example the form field objects together, but the list is hard to read right now. If you could put a horizontal line between the "groups", that would help a lot.

Thanks for the suggestion. If you bought a licence within the last 30 days, contact info@hippani.com, tell them your key and they might be able to help.

Hi Gordon, Was up late last night and checked the forum before going to bed and saw the beta 5 update news, so purchased and installed and stayed up way too late...3:30 am. So far, really liking the new version (I didn't think I would use those additional "shapes" you said were being added but, I have to say, I find those quite useful! But the new version so far...excellent, was worth the wait! I have not had enough yet time to try all the features or at least the ones I know how to use, but I did find (1) thing that seems to not work with timeline scripts: When I am editing the timeline and put a Stop(); in the timeline and then play the movie, it does not stop, it plays right on past the stop function. The only way that I could find to make the timeline stop playing when I play the movie was to put the function TimelineGotoAndStop("Script ID",Frame:Number); then it would stop. But shouldn't the Stop(); function work on the timeline just as it does in the main movie?

Hi locky, the function you need is:
TimelineStop("Script ID");
All timeline scripts have a variable called ID. Which I've just noticed is null on export. We'll get that fixed.
What should work is:
TimelineStop(ID);

Ahhh, ok, yes I remember the id now I think I gave it one but forgot to use the id with the function, thanks!

OK, that bug just got fixed. Update your software.
TimelineStop(ID);
We could do with a timeline script tutorial.

I still can't assign a scriptId to an object inside of a Timeline object. Was that not the idea or did I misunderstand that? I like it very much so far. I'll make a thorough review later on.

Yes runes, you should be able to do that now. What object are you adding? Could you post an example.
Glad you like it.

I can confirm that it's working now. And I must say, that feature is marvelous for so many things! It's brilliant that you can run game mechanics inside a timeline and then move the timeline around. I quickly made a proof of concept platform game here: stowasser.dk/hippodemos/platformer/The players position and collisions are handled inside a timeline object. Scrolling is done with moving the entire timeline. So far I've had to write 15 lines of javascript to make this work. Hippani, you're almost making this too easy
