So it really just depends on who you ask.. hairdressers don't have a standard lingo.
I've been a hairdresser for many years and if you ask me, “feathering" is what the hair does when its brushed away from the face after its been layered. Anyones hair can look feathered. Its a dated term not used very often in the area where i live.
I'll enjoy reading what others believe it to be.
