Hippo Animator for Mac OS X

Hippo Animator 2.1 for Mac OS X is currently in early beta testing.

There are a couple of known issues We're still working on: Unicode doesn't work properly, especially things like Chinese. The updater doesn't work properly yet either.

This software has taken 6 months of blood, sweat and tears just to get to this point. So if anybody can help us out with some testing, it would be much appreciated and we will give out 2 or 3 free license keys for the most helpful.

OK, first bit of feedback.

If you get this error:

App can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Try this:

osxdaily.com/2012/07/27/app-cant-be-opened-because-it-is-from-an-unidentified-developer/

We will try to work out how to become 'identified'.

Turns out we have to pay apple $99 a year for the privilege of distributing software on macs.

Just done an update to this, big improvements for all unicode except cutout text. Japanese, Chinese, Arabic etc now work correctly.

Also an improvement to the updater.

It still throws an alert when installing 'unidentified'. Hopefully we can get that sorted this week.

This now works on Mac OS X 10.6. Lots of fixes. 'unidentified' alert has gone.
