I'm a newly registered user (and fan!), stumbling through how to properly leverage the capacity of this wonderful tool...
I am also new to JavaScript but learning...
My general question is if there is a list of how to 'address' the various object characteristics/settings via a script. The Help has some clues, but there are voids in the examples provided.
My specific question (that raised the general one above) is if it's possible to control the visibility of a something (a button, an image, etc.) via a script.
I'm trying to create some media controls for my animation (Play/Pause, FF, REW, Restart) and I've figured that out, but with limited real estate on the screen, I didn't want them to be visible all the time. So I thought I'd put a thin toggle button on the edge of the UI that would either show/hide the various media buttons. I just cannot figure out how to 'address/set' the visible states of the media button's via the toggle button's On Click and On Release scripts.
This tool seems like it can do all sorts of great and sophisticated things, so I gotta imagine this is possible (if not embarrassingly simple).
Thanks for the help and keep up the great work!

Doh... I thought I'd explored the Help for the answer but I guess I was focused on the Reference>Objects and the Script areas, totally missing that Reference>Animation>Frame had the answer all along. So sorry, but thanks! Is it generally safe to say that all of the attributes one can control via JavaScript are outlined (somewhere) in the Help, if one just looks hard enough? If I can push my luck with one other (semi-related) question.... If I have several Scenes in my animation and want these media controls to be available throughout the entire thing, do I need to add the FF/REW/PP buttons and associated scripting to each scene, or is there a way to have some elements on a 'master' layer that runs throughout all the scenes (like a logo, for instance)? Thanks again for the assistance!

You'd have to add the media controls to each scene. You can duplicate scenes if that helps.

That's what I figured, but being new, I wanted to double-check I wasn't overlooking some neat feature.
Thank you!

Here is a tutorial showing how to do this with the timeline and how to do it with javascript: Show and Hide Items.
