Hello, I made a webpages that contain images, and I found this string to add on the HTML code to deny people to save the image from my webpage. This must to be put before src=”image_link” code:
oncontextmenu=”alert(‘MESSAGE’);return false” oncopy=”alert(‘MESSAGE’);return false”
The problem is that when I created a page with Hippo Studios, the HTML code is not the “simple” HTML: there is, for you, any possibilities to add this code on the HTML page created with Hippo Studio Animator? Or there is any code to do the same effect?
Thank you very much, Alessandro

Hello, I just came to mind a workaround to bypass my request: if I put a trasparent image over my images, if people click with the right mouse botton, they can save only the trasparent image... is correct? One doubt: this would make heavier loading my web page? is better to create a code to disable the right click? Thank you, Alessandro

Put this in the General script:
function nocontext(e) { var clickedTag = (e==null) ? event.srcElement.tagName : e.target.tagName; if (clickedTag == "IMG") { return false; } } document.oncontextmenu = nocontext;
It blocks right click menu on images only. Right click on background still shows a menu. Right click on buttons works like left click.

@hippo Studios: Thanks! Please steal away. It should really be an option in the Movie Properties.

We decided against it (sort of) we've added an option like the video option "disable menu" to the movie properties, but it's a blanket option, we should have added it ages ago. It's not selective like your image only code.

Hello runes, I tried your code and work, thank you But I have one problem: in the same "general" field, I alredy inserted a code for manage the audio in my webpage. If I paste your code before or after this other code, my webpage was not showed correctly. I'm not a web programmer, so, sorry if my question is stupid, but can I insert much codes in the same "general" field? How can I do it? I need both function, so both codes. Other question: your code can be apply to video format also? Thank you a lot, Alessandro

alessandro: There shouldn't be a problem having more code in the general script. I'm not sure why that's causing problems for you.
But update Hippo Animator. There's now an option in the Movie properties called 'Disable Menu'. That's way easier than mangling with my code. It blocks the menu on the entire frame, so also on video:)

There's probably an error in the code somewhere. Do you get any errors?
