That's somebody else with a no to monthly payments.
The theory is: It shouldn't cost any more than before and it would help people get on board who see $50 as too much $4 x 12 = $48. We usually have a new release once a year which is an upgrade price.
I'm not sure if the forum is the best place to discus this. Have both you guys bought licences before or have you got free copies?

I think i have 2 license copies because I accidentally get the new license instead of getting an upgrade.

If you go to the $4 x per month option I would want to buy 12 months worth all at once. Not sure I see the rationale behind this....surely you will be releasing a new version of Hippani each year? Then on the other hand, if you release more than one version per year it's great value. As long as there is the option to pay for a 12 month period I could live with that.

Thanks Rexmor, I was wondering about the people objecting to the pay monthly business model.
I should mention that and another benefit would be you could use the software on multiple computers.

I have two licenses. I agree with D.K that the possibility to pay anually, may be with a discount, could be a good option.
In any case, How will you handle the upgrade prices? Today, with the "pay once" model it is clear, we pay less for an upgrade. It will be the same with the monthly fee?
And, What if someone stop to pay the subscription? It will not be possible to continue using the program?
I think that the "pay once" business model is more reasonable for a desktop software. A subscription model should provide more benefits, not only the right to use a software, like cloud storage, collaboration tools, custom support, free resources or whatever.

Thanks Rexmor, I was wondering about the people objecting to the pay monthly business model. I should mention that and another benefit would be you could use the software on multiple computers. Having one copy and use it in multiple computers whenever you are is already a great deal and $50 is just a piece of peanut compared to other software out there. The Hippani team would rather focus on adding more features, updates to make it more handy to users. I'm looking for templates that can be use in courseware development and able to publish in AICC or SCORM compliant because as I see... this software is like a flash clone because of the timeline based authoring. More Power to Hipanni Team. Best regards, rex

Hippani Many thanks to Gordon , that is a very great news for any hippani developers and designers , because I suddenly realize that it will be possible use hippani to create a larger mmo game ! It is very important to reuse more and more elements as possible . For example , Now I have an avatar , but I need to show it's health bar , so I add the HP-bar inside the avatar , it is not the problem. The problem is , when we have say 100 players , I can not modify the HP-bar through their "parent" node . I actually don't know which avatar have that HP bar that I need to modify. So I think script in timeline is very very useful. A good suggestion: world.players["PlayerName"].HPBar.Width -= 10; world.updateAll();

The second feature is like being able to connect to external javascript or css frameworks or files. Whether the frameworks work or not is a different matter. But you could add a js settings file for example.

I'm still curious about connecting to external files. What is the difference with adding the js <script> or css <style> in the Movie HEAD section or by importing the file into the Library?

leorod, not much. But you could connect to something on a completely different web server or a js framework on a content delivery network.

Been quite a while since hearing any news about Hippo 5 release. Is there any chance we are going to see it happen this year or should we put 2015 to bed and set our hopes on 2016?

Delays delays delays. So sorry. We lost a developer and gained a mac developer. It's slowly coming together.
