Version 5.0.5919 is now the live release on the website.
We didn't manage to squeeze in everything we wanted. There are some big features still in development, hopefully they'll get added soon.
Inside information: Penciled in for version 5.1 is canvas support. That should be interesting.

Can't wait for canvas support! That will open up lot's of new opportunities. I'm curious to see how you'll implement it.

Wow Gordon!
My take on creating gifs with this new version of Hippani.
1. The rendered images of things like "faces" that often don't look so hot when rendered to a gif format look great when rendered to a gif with Hippani version 5.0.5919, and now they play at the right speed in a gif player! Excellent work, not sure how you made the exported gifs look so incredibly better, but to me it's amazing! It is so fast to create a really nice looking animated gif now with Hippani, I am quite IMPRESSED! Unless I am missing something in what I'm seeing with this new version, you guys have revolutionized the gif making process and the quality of the rendered gif, this is exciting, Hippani has made some huge leaps here IMO, thanks to the creators for all their efforts.
2. It used to be (I think) that only a certain amount of colors were available when rendering a gif, but with Hippani, it seems like there is the full spectrum of colors available and they seem to translate to the exported gif, am I correct in saying that this was never possible before when creating a gif, I think we were limited to 256 colors?

dk & thunder - either will work.
locky - This wasn't possible before in Hippo 4. However, it's always been in the GIF specification, it's just really complicated to implement.
runes - Canvas is going to be very similar to the web. So a lot of demo code out there should be transferable.

Big new feature also available. All objects are now allowed in the timeline.

REF: "All objects are now allowed in the timeline" That is awesome ! I believe that is useful when we decide to make some complex GUIs , but I still have one question , is there any possibility to add a scroll-bar component or scroll-panel , so we may create a scroll-able item list ? Currently I try to create a scroll-able list by placeing a "webpage" component and "DuplicateItem" to create a scroll-able list , so my project becoming "index.hani" + "listComponent.hani" . This is not what i can't implement , but I am just curious .

I'll add it to the suggestion list.
