Just wanting to hear from those who have some experience making kinetic typography in Hippo Animator... Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have to say... I had to look it up, had no idea what it meant. For a moment I thought you were creating software for the WII kinect. After taking a look at some examples I think this short Flash file I created years ago would fall in the kinetic typography category. It is a thing that used to be displayed on the website of a writer. For those who don't understand Dutch. It says. A line becomes, A letter becomes, A word becomes, A sentence becomes, A paragraph becomes, A story by the hand of the writer. I assume for exact movement/placement you are going to use scripting or will you just use the timeline?

Most likely the time line unless it is easier to script it. Moving graphics, icons and other types of animated movement would also be a possibility. I might even consider pushing a real person video with green screen as well. I used Swish many years back instead of macromedia's (now adobe) flash. They had some really great built in animations.

For those who want to know here is a good page for advanced examples. You can also find quite a few more. It is used a great amount in the commercial advertising for television in the USA.

I wouldn't say scripting is easier but it can be more precise in some circumstances. I guess it all depends on the project.
