To do:The help is very out of date and this is the main thing they are still working on. They are also hoping to squeeze in some more audio/video features before release. New features:Scripting in the timeline. Timelines within the timeline. MP4 video. HTML plugins. Easing types. Curved transitions. New GUI. Improved script errors. Windows remember where you positioned them. New script functions menu. Tabs in script editor. Toolbar can be moved. Suggestions in help search. Lots an lots of minor improvements, fixes and tweeks. Removed:Center of rotation. Relative functions.

Glad you like it. I'll ask about the menu. We will do new demos and help when the interface and features are finalized.

OK, a new update online already, you should probably expect a new version most days while in beta. Quite a few bug fixes already.

Pretty nice! I really like some of the improvements like the curved transitions and variety of easing options. Plus the tabs in the script editor - so nice.
Do you want us to call out bugs at this point?

So I had a chance to play around with it a bit yesterday. And I must say I'm impressed. There's some groundbreaking new features here. The timeline scripting should make it a lot easier for flash animators migrating to Hippo Animator. The same thing goes for the timeline object. Although I had hoped for a more full fletched timeline with scripting, buttons and the possibility of placing a timeline object inside of timeline (thereby making endless nesting), it's still a killer feature. I also really like the new tweens. They help to liven up the animations. Here's an idea; why not implement tween in script so you can make dynamic tweens (like TweenMax f.i)? Video player is also a really nice addition. With the GetTime and SetTime scripts you would actually be able to make interactive movies quickly and easy. But it's always on top of page. That's disappointing. I usually make interface that lies on top of video, and I would really miss that ability (Also the thought of moving video backgrounds with animated characters on top sort of gets me excited). I'm pretty sure it's possible to css style your way to putting stuff on top of video so I assume there's another reason for this(backwards compatibility). On another note; is it possible to block the right click menu with "save video as.."? It kind of provokes me a bit Anyways as soon as Hippo Animator 3 gets out of beta I'm definately going to buy it. It's ridiculously cheap

Thanks runes. We'll add more to the timelines when we can, it took so long just to do that we had to draw a line under if for now. The problem is, as soon as you add and scripting within the timeline and then use the timeline more than once in you movie it causes massive problems in both the player and javascript.
You can make your own tweens using script, e.g. Item.X=GetTime();. No idea what Tweenmax f.i means.
Video players on phones have to be at the top, there's no way round it. Most phones open the video fullscreen as well. And as this software is basically a replacement for flash on phones and tablets, that's hard to ignore.
I'll add the right click thing to the suggestion list.

I'll +1 wordpress, we've tried and failed to work with wordpress before. Use the wordpress iframe plugin to add Hippo html to wordpress documents. What slideshow transitions do you want?

OK, new update.
The scenes window problem is fixed. We've added Center (X,Y) to the frame properties. We've added a new frame function SetBounds(Left,Top,Width,Height) so you can do things like: MyPicture.SetBounds(10,10,300,200); There is a new toggle button function ToggleButtonPressed which tells you if the button is pressed or not. The HTML object now shows the code in the editor so at least you can see it's doing something.

Version 3 looks very nice. A lot of improvements! Until now only one problem. The relative commands are gone. How do I replace "GotoAndStopRelative(1);"?

Yes sorry we removed them as they only caused confusion.
GotoAndStop(GetFrame()+1);
